This PR fixes handling of default XML namespaces in read_xml when using the xpath parameter.
Previously, XPath queries failed or returned empty results when XML documents defined a default namespace without an explicit prefix.
The update ensures such namespaces are correctly resolved, allowing read_xml to behave consistently with expected XPath semantics.
